And I'm not talking about covering your butt...

A few years ago, BMW funded a series of short films by famous directors and big stars featuring BMW cars. If you saw them, you remember them. If not, it is high time you saw them. You can generally find then with a Google search for BMW Short Films. Here are a couple.

The first film, "The Star", stars Madonna and was written and directed by her husband Guy Ritchie. As in all of the films, Clive Owen is "the Driver." Stick around for the last half... The total video is about 7 minutes long, and it REALLY gets good at 4:25 or so...

The next one is "Ambush." It was directed by John Frankenheimer.  As with the previous film, the car is the real star.  

I hope you enjoyed these. The series is truly great... and a great example of viral marketing.  Even now, seven years after making these and posting them for free on their web site, BMW is reaping a reward for the films.  They have been the subject of TV shows, as well as numerous web sites.
