My coworker and I learned so much about this city at their Open House event last week! I'm so excited to share the news! The expansion of 429 will soon connect Apopka to 417 completing the beltway around Central Florida which will rejuvenate surrounding areas making it accessible to all other busy areas of Central Florida! Being the second biggest and fast-growing city in Orange County FL, Apopka already has great plans in place to capitalize on the growth brought by highway expansion. A brand new full-service hospital to be completed in November 2017 to relieve the old hospital in downtown Apopka which will be later used for doctor offices, senior living facilities etc. The new hospital will be neighboring the new Apopka City Center to be built on city-owned property along U.S. Highway 441 creating additional draw for retail, restaurants, medical office, traditional office, and multi-family residential from surrounding communities. If that wasn't enough, it is planned to build another town center (Kelly Park Crossing) along Kelly Park Road similar to what we have in Winter Garden Village. The plan would turn more of Apopka's shuttered nurseries into homes, offices and restaurants — 9 million square feet of proposed development. Thanks to 429 expansion, Apopka is also to develop their eco tourism industry (build hotels etc.) to accommodate eco tourists from all over the world! Apopka is home to over 365 species of birds (more than anywhere in the US), beautiful springs and parks! So the 429 expansion was the missing piece in the development of this area. If you are looking to buy a house, you should definitely consider this area and call me @321-948-3243!
