Did you know that September 25th is National One-Hit Wonder Day? Today recognizes those musical artists who had but only one Top 40 single hit. Have you got a favorite one-hit wonder song? It's amazing how often I'll hear a song on the radio that brings back memories and find out that it was the one and only hit a particular artist had.
Here's a list of 10 of the better known one-hit wonders and some of my personal favorites. I'll bet you'll be surprised that these recording artists didn't have a follow up hit, especially as these songs were such big hits in their day and very much part of the popular music consciousness. I know when I hear these songs they bring back all sorts of memories and I'm still amazed that so many years later I can still remember all the words to each of these songs.
