Well...............do wonders never cease? Today, I had the great pleasure to read an article in the Wall Street Journal by Patricia Ross who wrote of her love affair with Naples, FL. Oh, it was not love at first sight, but the kind of love that evolves over time. Yes, she misses the fast pace of NYC, the coffee, the pastry, the New York Times, yadda, yadda, yadda, when she's here. However, over time, Naples and SWFLA grew on her. She admits she learned to admire the various types of white birds, the mangroves, the beach walks and the other endearing qualities offered in the land of the un-old. DId I mention the spectacular sunsets?
Barbara Corcoran appeared on the Today show a few days ago and told her viewers where they should retire to enjoy an active lifestyle. She talked about Nova Scotia, Washington State, Oregon and other parts of North America where the sun doesn't shine. Yes, I'm sure those places have their pluses but who wants to retire to freeze? Not me. I love the sun and fun here in good ole Naples. Barbara said the places she recommends have an active lifestyle and vibrant downtown locations and that both add to the value of real estate. Is Barbara implying that long walks on the beach, kayaking in the mangroves, playing tennis, golfing, swimming, boating, walking, roller blading, etc. are not activities that people looking for an active lifestyle would enjoy?
Downtown Naples is second to none and attracts many visitors to its shopping, dining, beauty and proximity to the beach. Property values, although slightly down, had fantastic appreciation and will rebound. And, for people like me who still love to learn, there is a huge selection of classes. I am currently expanding my knowledge of digital photography and Photshop.
If you would like to experience a little slice of paradise, call or email me. I'm also available to help out Realtors from other parts of the country who would like to put their clients in touch with an enthusiastic Realtor in Southwest Florida. Visit my website at www.barbarajmorley.com.

Living down here is awesome...Sunshine all year, warm weather and beautiful beaches.
