Marci, our book club is made up of 13 wonderful smart women...who just happen to drink wine and read books....I have enjoyed the meeting so much ...

That is so true, I have met some awesome people, that I actually socialize with.  People I would have never crossed paths with, if not for this business.

Cindy: We are lucky to be in the business we are in, as it is very personal, being invited into their homes.

Very cool Mary Lou!  I met a children's author when I did one of my decorating jobs.   Although my children were too old for his books, he did sign a couple for my nephew. 

Mary Lou~ This is awesome news!  I love your book club name also.  I often wish I had time to devote to a book club, but lately finding any time to read ( outside of AR ) is growing difficult.  I have had the amazing pleasure of " meeting " so many people due to the radio show.  Some of my favorites...Christopher Lowell, Frank Fontana and Kenneth Brown.  The one whom I am most excited to meet as in she will be joining me in the studio is Ted Turner's daughter, Laura Turner Seydel.  She and her husband built ECO Manor here in Atlanta.  The largest, LEED certified home in the country!  I have goose bumps every time I think about our upcoming show. 

Outside of that...I feel truly privileged to have met some of the most interesting and kind people right here on AR!

I just recently Staged the house of a gentleman who was in the Pentagon the day of 9/11 and helped triage the victims. 

There are a lot of interesting people we get to meet in this line of work and I just love it!!!

That's what I've always loved about my 31+ years in real estate.  Everyone has their story and we get to be part of their lives at a very vulnerable time and they entrust their secrets and hopes and dreams to us.  We are privileged to be part of their experience.  It is a wonderful calling and one which I truly enjoy.

It's funny how connections in life get started.  You took on this staging job because of google, by which you were directed through AR, you met an author, which is fun because you enjoy books so much, isn't life GRAND! Now, who knows where this new connection will take you.  They say that connections in life happen for a reason, I truly believe that people come in and out of our lives for certain purposes, some stay for just a short while and some stay forever.  Best wishes for great connections throughout your business and in life!  By the way, was his book a good read?

Mary, Thank you for your post.  I agree with you, you never know who you will meet.  That is what makes our job so interesting.  No two days are the same.  We are really priviledged to meet, greet, and help so many vaious and interesting people.

Hi Mary Lou, although I haven't met anyone well known, I do enjoy the fact that we meet people of all walks of life.  I enjoy getting to know them, some of where they've been, where they are going, etc.  Probably the most interesting was a woman who was going to Africa on a mission trip with her church...she is a professional photographer and was going to do a photojournal of her trip...absolutely fascinating!  (All in the middle of selling her house---go figure!)  Great post!

Abby, Patti, Bart and others....They were such nice people and just goes to show you the next interesting person is just right around the corner !!! and Patti I will let you know how the book goes...

Participating here on AR is just opening the doorway to meet all sorts. It is really exciting, and I think nearly anything is possible.  Way to go on getting great exposure.

This is a great story....  I too, love meeting new people, the Lord is always opening doors... We have rental cabins over near Pigeon Forge not too far from you.. We have had many interesting guests but one of the greatest is a family from Ontario Canada but originally from Czechzovokia.. Each vist to the Smokies, he writes an article for a Czech paper, then he sends it to me forgetting that I don't read Czech... This year, he was kind enough to write a blog post for me about his hike on the Appalachian Trail in English !!  Maybe I can meet up with you someday when I am in TN...
