The Last Days of Our Vacation in Barcelona

By
Real Estate Agent with Elizabeth Anne Weintraub, Broker DRE #00697006

We were more prepared for our vacation in Spain, which ended early this month, than other trips. But we still were not prepared enough. Sometimes you want to play it by ear, but by going that route, you can miss things you really want to see. I'm finding I almost have to make lists of things to do on vacation so I can do everything my heart desires. Not to mention, buy tickets online for certain attractions and print them at home.

But you know what? You can't do everything your heart desires unless you live at your destination. You can read more about our trip and see all the photographs in my personal blog today at this link: Photos from 7 Days in Barcelona, Spain.

Good morning, Elizabeth --- more great photos and fond memories-in-the-making.   I'm a list maker but sometimes the best experiences are those that are more spontaneous.  Where's the next trip?

Michael Jacobs I will probably spend time thinking about where we should take our next trip when I go to Hawaii this December. Don't know yet. Maybe Japan or South Africa.

Hi Elizabeth

I've enjoyed reading about your trip and all the places you've been I have not. And of course the photos have been wonderful. I like a combination of planning certain things but also just allowing it to unfold. Sometimes we have spent too much time rushing around to SEE everything and didn't take the time we should have to just live and experience!

Jeff Dowler I hear what you're saying, Jeff, but you also know the adage if you fail to plan . . . and then I resent things that need to be scheduled, like massages, LOL, or dinner reservations . . .

Looks like you had an amazing time.  I've never made a vacation list and well... I never will.  Last year we had 17 glorious days and only two of there were there places and times we had to be there and a third if you count that I made lunch plans with a friend and dinner plans with another the same day. (one from AR and one from high school).

But even without a plan we managed to see two of Donald's friends from high school, a national park, we stood on the corner in winslow, AZ, we watched a beautiful sunset over the pacific, we had a lovely dinner with two more AR friends in Tusson and popped in to see a peep at her office in New Orleans and had a night on the town, and had a wonderful walk on the beach in the gulf.  Plan to do a bit more of that really soon.

You trip sounds like a lot of fun, too, Tammy Lankford, and it's too bad you didn't get up to the Sacramento area. We would have loved to spend time with you.

When I was selling jewelry at Jared, I missed a cruise to the Mediterrean, which stopped in Barcelona, by one stinking diamond ring sale.  Looking at your photos and hearing your descriptions, I know I would have so enjoyed it.

Well, then Barcelona is one place you really MUST go, Chris Ann, if for no other reason than to show Jareds you did not need to win that stupid sales contest to go to Barecelona, and you can stop thinking about it. It's only a 6-hour time difference for you, too.
