AN EMOTIONAL FEW DAYS

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Residential

Poverty.  Stress.  Anxiety.  Despair.  Panic.  Fear.

Hope.  Opportunity.  Peace.  Happiness.  Glee.  Fortune.

Why do I do this?  To me?  To my family?

Why couldn't I have been one of those behind the desk guys.  9 to 5.  Paycheck every two weeks.  A bonus at the end of the year.  No.

I chose a path of indepence.  A path of opportunity.  A path of hope.

Yet also a path of chaos.

The emotional ups and downs my wife and I face daily are comical.

Hopes raised then dashed in a matter of hours.

We try to laugh.  I figure it is always best to face life with a laugh.

But sometimes we cry.

I firmly believe we have to find the humor in life.  I ride the roller coaster, but in the end it all works out.  But like you, I HAVE to laugh or sometimes I will cry too :)

Yes...There are always ups and downs of being self-employed..And judging by the economy, there are more down the ups. It's a cycle and I also laugh when everything is going good and cry when it slows down...Cheer up Ken, You are not alone...

Life is a roller coaster.  Grab that lap bar and hold on - it's the ups and downs that make us scream in anticipation of the next up and down!

Morning Ken,

The ups and downs we face in our business builds character. At least that's the way we look at it. 9 to 5 has benefits, oh yes, however there is so much more opportunity and satisfaction in what we do now. Fewer paychecks at times too, but we learn from that as well.

Have a great weekend!

Ken, we have all had our ups and downs this year, no doubt...like you , I also try to find a laugh in things. It will get better, it will get easier,..you just have to believe that...I often times have to remind myself of this as well...but it was when I changed my attitude about the things that I just couldn't control or change...that's when it all did start to change ! I am busy than ever and things are just...well, falling into place !

Ever since I truly started believing and realizing that "it always works out," it has.

You have to have faith in yourself before anyone else will.

It was one of the hardest and most expensive life lessons I have learned.

Another was "the grass is never greener on the other side."

I have hit rock bottom twice in my life.  One time involved losing everything to my name except for three outfits.

I was, am and always will be the same person, whether I am sitting at the bottom or the top of the totem pole.

Hang in there -- keep looking up and that's where you'll end up.

Hi Ken...The one thing we all seem to have is hope.  Hope that tomorrow will be better than today or at least not worse.  Often we find that it is better.  And, once it turns around it just keeps getting better and better.

There is definitely a risk in doing what we do but there is also joy when things work out.

Hoping things are on the upswing for you before you know it.

Good luck to your wife.  May she find something she enjoys doing.  This may be the beginning of something exciting for her.
