Can I top my last 2 blogs I was asked? There is a great deal of excitement after my last 2 blogs. What could i possibly post to beat those pictures? Today I feature the Master Bedroom. Yes this is an actual house, that was actually being lived in. Being in Real Estate we get to see some wonderful homes. This was not one of them. Today is day 5 of my series of the SCARIEST Horror stories in Real Estate. When Buying or Selling a home, It does not need to take a trick to buy or sell a home these days. Many consumers learn the hard way here in the Manchester NH. Enjoy my blog based on stories through 30 years of Real Estate so you can learn from others mistakes and gain an advantage when Buying or Selling a home.

The top 30 collection of Horror Stories

Today's feature story:

#26. "How not to prepare your Bedroom for showings."

#26. When listing a home for sale, the first thing I do i go over what to expect when showings start. It starts with how to "ready" your home for sale along with what is expected the day of the showing. In short, make the bed, put away belongings and pick up the dirty clothes. Open the curtains and let the sun shine in.

The Seller of this home which i did not list, but was showing my buyer, did not get any tips or instructions an dthis is what we found. The towels on the windows were nice touches and distracted from the dirty under wear and plates with some food from last week on the bed tables.

The lesson to be learned, is cleaning a home and getting it ready before buyers start seeing it, is the keyto a quicker sale at a better price.

The way to sell your home quickly and at the best obtainable price is to hire the best agent who offers full service and is well experienced in listing and selling homes. They should be able and willing to inform you, guide you and stand by you through EACH step of the buying process.

The most critical part of Buying or Selling a home is the Agent/Broker you choose.

You have a choice of agents. Use your choice to hire the BEST agent in your area.

YOU deserve the BEST service when Buying or Selling a home

LEARN THIS ONE FACT:

One should know that

All Agents are not created equal and every buyer or seller should take the time to hire the BEST not just the biggest Agent or Company.

It does not take magic to turn your "For Sale" sign into a "Sold" sign. It takes a full time Local Agent who specializes in Listing homes like yours.

Good morning Realtor Scott Godzyk -

Bedrooms like kitchens and baths are very important parts of the home to have in order to impress. It's amazing how many just don't get that fact.

The Agent you choose REALLY does make a difference

I wonder if the drapery has to be removed for showers --- I was in a home recently where there was a large blanket covering the steps to the 2nd floor. Wow, wow, wow - what we encounter in a day's work!?!

They did Wayne Martin and even hung their clean towels on the windows instead of dirty ones to act as shades.

Jeanne Feenick I see flags, blankets and towels some day8 and it just baffles me. Mini blinds are under $5 for the cheap ones

I don't think I could sleep in this room even with my eyes closed and in the dark, Scott. That crucifix is a nice touch.

Wow.  That's terrible, but sadly a scene I have witnessed myself while touring homes.  There's usually an odor to go along with.

YUCK! Your series reminds me of a home I was in. I was doing an interior BPO. The house hadn't been cleaned since the body was taken out. I didn't know any of the history of this house. There was about three inches of dried dog poop up and down the hallway. It was solid in the hall. The house was so packed with stuff, I couldn't get to the windows to open any drapes, and I couldn't get within five feet of the kitchen. I guess the body had been in there over a week in hot temps. The smell was unlike anything I have every smelled before or after that inspection.
