Home buyers interested in living in Vista may very well be interested in the Legends and Heritage neighborhood.

The Legends and Heritage neighborhood is a gated community in the Shadowridge area of Vista (92081), just west of Melrose and bordering the Ocean Hills area of Oceanside (you may see it as Heritage/Legends in the MLS listings).

The homes in the Legends and Heritage community were built in the late 1990s and are detached condominiums with living space ranging from 1131 SF to 1714 SF with 2 to 4 bedrooms, 2 and 1/2 baths, and attached 2-car garages. All homes have yards, of varying sizes. There is guest parking throughout the community with a permit required (obtained from residents)!

The Heritage/Legends community is conveniently located near shopping and dining options, plentiful services, a community park, and commuting routes. Children in the community attend the Vista Unified School District. The beaches are approximately 6 miles to the west as the crow flies.

There is an HOA and the community is managed by Walters Management. HOA fees are approximately $138/month but vary slightly – these should always be verified when purchasing, of course.

This gated community also includes a small neighborhood of townhomes called Calypso (noted on the main gate signage). Thus while they share the road and gate, Calypso falls under a different HOA/management company. Another distinction is the pool available to Calypso residents; Heritage and Legends does not offer this amenity.

As of this writing, late September 2016, 6 homes have sold in the Heritage and Legends community since the beginning of 2016 ranging from $407,000 to $480,000 in several floor plans. 3 listings are pending, but no other homes are currently available.
