Wait.....I have to sell it twice?!

Yes! This is true! To completely close on your home and have it officially "sold", it needs to be sold twice. 

So, why twice and how does this work?

Well....let us elaborate on this topic a little to hopefully help you understand. 

We all know about the selling process. There are many steps to making sure your home is sold at a great price and in a timely manner. This is where you need a great Real Estate Agent to explore every avenue to get your home SOLD!

Your home must be sold to the masses. Your home needs to be put in front of every buyer out there! This is carried out through local marketing, open houses, social media, and taking advantage of other online platforms designed to showcase homes for sale. 

Another avenue that most sellers don't think of is actively selling your home to find a potential buyer. If you take a look at our last blog, What Makes a Spectacular Listing Agent? , you will see that most agents put a sign in your yard, put your home in the MLS, and pray that it sells. A great agent will go that extra mile to actively prospect to find you a buyer for your home. This can be achieved through any of the marketing activities we mentioned. 

 

Sale #2

This is the second sale that many people aren't aware of, or familiar with. It is not a common practice in many real estate brokerages. That is....selling your home to other agents! Just ask yourself, who has access to the majority of the buyers in your area? Other Real Estate Agents! In one given area, there are hundreds of agents with access to, at minimum, a dozen buyers each. Why pass that up? 


This can be carried out through networking, email blasts, and Broker's Opens. A Broker's Open is basically an open house for other agents to view the home so that they can share it with their potential buyers. 

Other agents are an asset that many people do not tap into. Be sure your awesome Listing Agent is making as many connections as they possibly can. 

 

Just be sure to keep your eyes and ears open when picking the right Real Estate Agent for you. Make sure to ask all of the right questions and hire the agent that will get your home SOLD!
