Did you accomplish your goals this summer? Change your Niche?

Where did today go?  Where did this week go?  Where did the summer go?

Yesterday, I took a picture with my IPhone of  Petunia, the pig, enjoying the water sprinkler.   When I looked at the picture, the water droplets reflecting in the sunlight looked more like snow.  I found myself thinking that tt seemed like we just finished getting through the snowy Colorado winter.   Our last snow storm was back in May.   Now, with October just hours away,  it is time to get ready for the upcoming winter.

Today, I took a few moments to reflect on this summer's business results.   Did it go as I planned?   Short answer is no.  It was a great summer.  However, I unexpectedly ended up adding a new niche.   In addition to horse properties, Ive decided to assist sellers and buyers with real estate that is being used or will be used for natural and/or organic farming and ranching operations.

For all practical purposes, I didn't keep up with blogging this summer.  Starting tonight, I'm planning to blog more frequently.  Instead of writing notes in notebooks, I'm going to start putting the notes in draft blogs.    I've got a bunch of blog ideas that involve horse property,  organic farming and ranching, and ways to add a little fun and entertainment to your life.  (Hint....At the moment, I've become infatuated with the idea converting unused space in a basement or barn to an indoor golf simulator or maybe even a retro bowling alley....or both.)   Could party barns be a niche?

 Full Swing Golf Simulator

Going to to thoughts of preparing for winter......  Just think, if I put a Full Swing indoor golf simulator with E6Golf software in my basement, there could be a blizzard outside and I could spend  time practicing on one of 70 world class golf courses.    (A friend of mine has five of theseFull Swing simulators to sell and I've found myself facinated with the idea. Did you change your goals this summer?  Are you ready for the winter?

Regardless, thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog.

 Sincerely,

Sondra Meyer

That sounds like a great idea though I don't know your area at all. Here they are closing a lot of the golf courses. This could be an inexpensive? way to enjoy the sport and have fun in the winter time. Love the idea of organic farming and riding horses any day!

The concept of a party barn is new to me, so maybe it is somewhere but I have not seen it, so I look forward to how that very creative idea goes. The location in the basement similar to a Man Cave, that I think I understand. Good luck with the new niche, you have grown with your own experience in that area. I used to play Wii golf with my nephew on the TV but I think we both decided like with golf and tennis and even the bowling, WE ALL liked the real deal and the virtual world was just this temporary distraction. Probably why this equipment is for sale almost like indoor exercise equipment haha. Been there done that. I do see the attraction inside when everyone gets snow bound though. As for goals I seem to change the goal posts every three months, so I am the last person to ask that about.

Hi Sondra - Summer did rush out of here in a hurry, but I'm okay with that - we're now in my favorite season, and Colorado falls tend to hanf around for a while and put on  good show. I like your golf idea - maybe if I had one of those, I wouldn't suck so bad at it.
