Where did today go? Where did this week go? Where did the summer go?
Yesterday, I took a picture with my IPhone of Petunia, the pig, enjoying the water sprinkler. When I looked at the picture, the water droplets reflecting in the sunlight looked more like snow. I found myself thinking that tt seemed like we just finished getting through the snowy Colorado winter. Our last snow storm was back in May. Now, with October just hours away, it is time to get ready for the upcoming winter.
Today, I took a few moments to reflect on this summer's business results. Did it go as I planned? Short answer is no. It was a great summer. However, I unexpectedly ended up adding a new niche. In addition to horse properties, Ive decided to assist sellers and buyers with real estate that is being used or will be used for natural and/or organic farming and ranching operations.
For all practical purposes, I didn't keep up with blogging this summer. Starting tonight, I'm planning to blog more frequently. Instead of writing notes in notebooks, I'm going to start putting the notes in draft blogs. I've got a bunch of blog ideas that involve horse property, organic farming and ranching, and ways to add a little fun and entertainment to your life. (Hint....At the moment, I've become infatuated with the idea converting unused space in a basement or barn to an indoor golf simulator or maybe even a retro bowling alley....or both.) Could party barns be a niche?
Going to to thoughts of preparing for winter...... Just think, if I put a Full Swing indoor golf simulator with E6Golf software in my basement, there could be a blizzard outside and I could spend time practicing on one of 70 world class golf courses. (A friend of mine has five of theseFull Swing simulators to sell and I've found myself facinated with the idea. See Pursuit Zone - Full Swing Golf Simulators)
Did you change your goals this summer? Are you ready for the winter?
Regardless, thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog.
Sincerely,
Sondra Meyer
