On Saturday October 8, 2016, Placentia will be holding their 52nd Annual Heritage Festival and Parade. This will be taking place at Tri City Park, Placentia. The theme this year is "Pride of Placentia". So many great things go on here. At 6:30 am The Festival starts off with pancake breakfast provided by the Rotary Club. The cost for breakfast is $5 dollars and children under 5 are free.
This festival is a way for the City of Placentia to bring the community to know and support local vendors and non profits in the area. There will be a Classic Car Show, food vendors, craft vendors and much more. Head over to the beer garden where my husband Randy Tovar will be voulenterring pouring cold beverages that will raise money to help cover the costs of the festival. Its a win, win for everyone.
The festivities will start with the Band Review Parade at 9:15 in the morning. I will be riding in the Parade representing The Placentia Founder's Society that I a have been involved with since 2000. Hopefully it will not be as hot as last year!
Following the Parade the Festival will start at 10 am. You can read a little more here if you need more information, www.placentia.org/heritagefestival. If you plan on heading over please make sure you check for road closures (there will be many due to the parade route). This weekend should be beautiful with great weather. This will make for an amazing day to take the family out and get to know our town!
Looking forward to seeing you there, Tina Maraj
