In this market a great Real Estate agent has to be self motivated! Right now you can't sit around hoping that buyers and sellers will come to you! This is a time where you have to diligently spend time networking and prospecting, This is a time where you have to be on top of all the things that happen during the sales process!
What makes someone self motivated?
1. Definiteness of purpose - This is knowing what and why you are doing what you are doing. I would suggest its got to be more than just collecting a check once and a while. There must be a larger WHY?
2. Burning desire - You have to want to succeed and make things happen to be successful in this market. It can't be a flickering desire, it must be a burning desire!
I imagine that there are a lot of people that are not self motivated that are reading this. If so, its time to take a few minutes before moving on to think about your PURPOSE AND BURNING DESIRE(s)... now is not a time to float around or coast as a Realtor. Now is the time to dig deep and find out what makes you GO!

You are right Chuck. We have to be self-motivated! I'm glad that I'm determined cuz it'd be an easy time to quit!
