Culver City Celebrating 100 years. What an awesome way to start the Centennial!!!
Unfortunately, I have been so busy that I am just getting to brag about the Culver City Celebration of 100 years. Needless to say September 24th was the opening day of celebration. What was I doing, I had to take my Assistant to the Veterinarian to get a medical shampooing and some “tune up”. Diane made sure to remind me that the short cuts will be blocked off because of the Celebration.
Then after it I had a showing to go to on one of my listings in Beverly Hills Post Office and on the way back pick up Satchmo from the Vet. So all things considered, I missed out on the great celebration with legitimate reasons.
So what took place you might ask?
9:00 a.m. – Community Parade
11:00 a.m. – Noon – Opening Ceremonies
12:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Block Party of the Century
So I missed the Block Party of the Century when the streets of Downtown Culver City which were filled with performing artists competing for the Culver Cup People’s Choice Award, which included a grand prize of $1,000! Along the same streets there were the Taste of Culver City, a ticketed event where attendees could sample foods from all corners of the City. The Block Party also included creative musical and artistic activities for the whole family.
General Admission was FREE and the Taste of Culver City was only $20.
Needless to say sometimes work and our pets take priority!!!
In spite of all this, Congratulations to Culver City for doing such a great Celebration for their Centennial. Hope some of you who read this post had the opportunity to go and enjoy the festivities.
