Hurricane Matthew vs My Matthew

By
Real Estate Agent with Karen Parsons-Fiddler, Broker 949-510-2395 BRE# 01494165

This little family is in the path of Hurricane Matthew. This is my son, Matthew, and his family. They live on the coast near Jacksonville.

They have evacuated!

Fortunately, Pam's family live further inland of Jacksonville and they are not in the evacuation area....yet.

My Matthew, Matty, was called Hurricane Matthew when he was in high school. We called him Flash as a kid....full of life and energy.

So is the Hurricane.

It's making me crazy to be so far away from being helpful! But here we are.

So today I'm watching the news, hearing updates from Matty when I can, and praying for the best for everyone affected.

Don't underestimate this kind of power!

Karen I will keep your son and his beautiful wife and baby in my thoughts and prayers. I'm glad they can go to her parents home.

Nice they have moved inland. This one is shaping up to be a big one. (PS--the family is beautiful!)

It is a mega storm that will cause havoc all along the coast.  Hope it turns out to sea to protect all in its path

"Don't underestimate this kind of power"--AMEN! It's interesting that they are now turning to male names for these frights of nature.

Hi Karen- We have our shutters up and after waiting and watching all day, I think Delray dodged the bullet.  But Jacksonville is another thing.  I'm glad they evacuated.

I'm glad they evacuated.  It's better safe than sorry.  And I truly hate when first responders get hurt or die saving people who should have left and didn't.

That's a gorgeous family.  I can understand your nerves being frayed with worry about them.

Glad to hear they got outta town, I've heard it isn't pretty over there, but hopefully they haven't had any damage.

I just saw that your son Matt evacuated Amelia Island.  That is where we lived when my son Matthew was born. In fact I have lived there three different times for a total of almost 30 years!!
