GIVING Back with the Gift of Appreciation

Kathy McGraw offered The Gifts of Appreciation Contest: Monday Morning Gifts...An Attitude of Gratitude Contest and the only topic is simple. "Write a short entry on who you appreciate, or are thankful to, here on Active Rain"

The difference in this contest is this: "Your entry is judged by how well you express your written appreciation for someone else, and they win the Prize".

I decided to write this follow up with Kathy's post and submit my NON ENTRY for the contest to show my appreciation and gratitude to another person who has made an impact on me in my time here on ActiveRain and continue to support me throughout.

Kathy McGraw. Kathy and I met here on ActiveRain... and in November of 2007 she came to Hawaii with her daughter and grandchildren. I got to spend time with them and we had surely made a complete connection at this time. "Traveling the Road of Aloha....The ActiveRain MEETING with Peers"

You see, it's hard to determine if there is some reality to typing on a keyboard vs. actually meeting someone face to face. (except for a few others and William Johnson...I think he's just one of those I connected with and have no qualms about being real :) In any event...it takes time to really get to know someone online....let alone in person.

I appreciate Kathy for being straightforward and honest. (No game playing on the phone, in emails, in person or here) I appreciate all she has done for groups. She has revived the e-PRO Internet Technology group and also has the SO CAL Pass Area Communities and other Interests group too. She is one of the strong forces and moderators in my POSITIVE ATTITUDE for the Weary Soul. I am grateful that amongst the others I have met and/or made friends with along the way that she is one more to add to the people I respect and admire.

She is a driving force for supporting others tirelessly. Let's all do the same with supporting someone you believe deserves the recognition too.

Sally- Did you get the check I mailed to Broker Bryant ......this was unexpected, but thanks....I sure could say the same for you, and add a whole bunch about everything you do. If more people don't enter soon, I will write my own non-entry as well.....and hey the judges will get the Points....nothing in the rules preventing it........... LOL :) :)

Woo Hoo, How can I ever explain why I would be naming you as one of these three people. It would takes weeks to write it. Our friendship was built rather quickly but it still grows and grows and grows. Not to worry , I will figure someway to put it to words,:-)

Sally, I agree with you. Kathy is a wonderful person. If I were to write about someone for this contest Kathy would be among the ones I would consider writing about.
