Found another good use for Active Rain.

By
Real Estate Agent with Century 21 Wright Pace Real Estate

To help make the time go by while doing Sunday afternoon phone duty.....

I've been sitting here this afternoon reading the different blogs and decided, Why not?

Now I've been on active rain for the last few weeks and have made comments on others blogs and have enjoyed reading them, but have not had the nerve to do my own blog and after this one I may never do it again....but I would like the thank all the other bloggers for the information that I have gained from reading your blogs. I've picked up a few ideas about marketing myself, information about problems that you've had with clients and how you have dealt with them and for the fun blogs that try and help people not to take life so serious....it's all worth the time and energy that you have put into it.

I do hope that in the near future I will come up with a great idea for my next blog....not just the ramblings  of a bored real estate agent doing Sunday afternoon phone duty in Jonesboro Arkansas...

Thanks for stopping by

David.

P.S. for anyone that's gone through Century 21's pep program....can I count this as a contact?

David-eventually what to write about becomes easy.  Start with defining who you want to attract to your blogs and then figure out what they would like to know about Jonesboro AR.  Now here is one for you.  This VA girl has been to Jonesboro AR.  Not your average tourist town but I had relatives on my dad's side of the family who lived there.  My dad was from the large metropolis of Walnut Ridge!

This is where you the Resltor get to post your ideas, frustrations, stories of both success and failure and basically just share your thoughts. What you have to say is just as important as the next guy, Blog away. I just joined C/21 last week and have not started any programs just yet...but I intend to.

David.. I had NEVER done a blog, or truly knew what it was until I came to ActiveRain.  Now I can't stop blogging.  Once you get started and formulate your thoughts.. it is easy.  Take it from one that knew nothing of blogging.

Hi David,

Congrats on your first post! Pretty well done I would say. You will be hooked in no time.

BTW, I've been seeing the devastation of the tornados in your neck of the woods, yikes! I was in AR a year ago, you have a lot of beauty in your state.

David,  May I talk straight with you?  Well I'm going to anyway!

If Babe Ruth waited until he only hit home runs he never would have set a world record.  He struck out a whole lot more than he hit home runs.  Be like Babe and be willing to strike out, for only then will you ever get to know the victory of a home run!  START BLOGGING AND STOP MAKING EXCUSES!  Thats an order from Ocala Florida lol!

Not much on blogging either, but today I was off -- truly off.  I did some yard work (for about an hour) because it is nice outside and I watched the Yankee game, which they won, and read blogs on AR ....there is so much learning to do.  Have to get one of these kind of days once in a while!  Try joining the Newbies group and the Century 21 group, we do!

Cindy....Hey Walnut Ridge is large compared to Swifton....the little town that I live. I just work out of Jonesboro.... Hope you enjoyed visiting our area. I hope that the blogging will get easier.

Patrick... Well it may take a while for me to get to that point. Welcome to C-21 I think it's a good company.

Thanks Mike I will work on the listings....don't have many but working on getting them.

Valerie...I had not been around much blogging until I joined AR but I do enjoy reading the blogs and the info that's involved.

Lynda....Thanks for the encourment on my blogging. I am hooked on AR already. Yes we had a rough day Friday in the state. I was lucky my neighbors wasn't as lucky. They had some damage to a farm shed...that was blown down on their combine and lost a couple of large old oak trees but no one was injured so that's a good think. My area has had some of the worst flooding in years. We need a little dry weather so the crops can be planted....can't please a farmer...either too dry or wet. Not sure which is better...hahahaha.

Sara...mam yes mam...hahaha I'm going to give it a try. Speaking of babe my home town has a local baseball hall of famer....George Kell. I never knew he'd done anything special...knew he had played ball and was an announcer but he had just always been George to me unitil he was inducted into the baseball hall of fame. He's a good man. With or without the hall of fame honor.

Thanks Ernie and Barb....I will. I've learned a lot already and enjoy reading the blogs.

Thank you for your encouragement. I hope to get started doing more soon. Keep an eye out on me...We've just had a bad ice storm in our area so I'm planning on downloading some pics before long. I still don't have power. Hope fully I will get my schedule back to normal the next couple of days.

Hey David, this is Paul Sweeney.

I was the Learning Manager for The Mountain West ... all states West of the Mississippi.  Now we've reduced our territory and changed it around some, and the Desert West zone is now Nevada, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Nevada.

I have a brother living in Walnut Ridge, another brother living in Cabot, one brother living in Hot Springs, three brothers and three sisters living in Little Rock!

I'llbe teaching on Saturday at the Little Rock Metro Hilton just before your award ceremony 1-3 pm., maybe I'll get to meet you then ... if not, I'll be around pretty often now!

Paul :-)
