Yesterday I sent out a plea for help From The Depths of Google Hell although we are still investigating we may have found the problem and solution.

I have a blog attached to my website - it is a WordPress Blog - and I do not have control over updates to it... that must be completed by my webmaster - one of the downfalls to my site is I can not update the software.

We checked the codes behind the posts we found nothing - we checked for hacking and found nothing - we read the badware website and found nothing -

We did find that there was a WordPress update to ensure better security - and have downloaded it.

We resubmitted my site to Google - now we must wait and see.

If you have had similar experiences you might check for updates on the blog software.  Badware had this WordPress blog posting.

From What I read - this could be an issue for all of us in the future - so now, I am working on a way to keep better informed of updates and items that could cause a security breach.

I hope my stressful week, can make someone else get through this smoothly without any bumps in the road.

Wordpress also had good information at Wordpress.org

Have a Great Week in Blogging

Thesa,

Thank you. I have not had this problem and I do use wordpress as well but I'm just getting started with it. You may be saving me a lot of time. When it comes to me and software it is truely "Murphys Law" rules.

Thanks,

Bob

For $35 per year you can be your own webmaster and take control of your site. It's very easy with simple prgrams. Take control of this very important tool.

Thesa, I just sent your information to my webhost as I sure don't want to go through what you are going through.

Thesa, I've tried the updating, but for some reason when it updates it still says afterward on my log in "please update to 5.1".  Frustrating.  Thank you for the reminder to make sure I get it done - correctly!

I saw that message recently on Google  on someone's real estate blog and I was scared off.

Thesa:  I am not sure I'd want any sort of a blog that I did not have full control over.  I guess that is one reason I am waddling through all the preparations in getting my Tomato blog going.  I hope you get it ack to where you need it to be.  I hope you're ok... huggs... Take care...

Are you saying you can't update your blog from inside your web-site ? Is it framed ? Can you but a link in so we can see it ? I updated to 2.5 and now they want another one .

Wow, I just read both posts - what a nightmare!  I certainly wouldn't click the link if Google said it might "harm" my computer!

Scary stuff - hope it's just the wordpress fix and that it will be corrected soon.  I am my own webmaster but ya know...I wouldn't have a clue what to do if something like this came up!
