Most of us remember our first ride at the county fair or at the carny that would pull through town every year. Mine was at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, California. One of the classic rides back in the day was the "Tilt-A-Whirl!" I recall making the unfortunate mistake of porking out on every conceivable fairground junk food before climbing aboard, mustard-plastered corndog included. What resulted wasn't pretty.

What is is about the people running those rides? No matter how loud you scream "STOP THE RIDE!" at the top of your lungs, they're totally oblivious.

Needless to say, no one on that ride, including my Mother, was very pleased about my generosity in sharing my lunch with them.

So what bearing does this have? None really. I just thought it would be an amusing segue!

Well, without any further adieu....

Welcome to the 89th Edition of the "Carnival of Real Estate!"

The following 'rides' you're about to read are much more thrilling and enjoyable. And certainly not quite as messy!

There were some really excellent submissions for this week's Carnival, making the selection process all that more challenging. But I think you'll agree, we've got some more great examples of quality content real estate articles!

So hop onboard, strap in tight, and let the "Rides" begin!....

It was tough to narrow the field down to 10 winners. There were 31 total entries. But I think we selected a good cross-section of writers....

Well this is sure to keep me busy. Especially since I got hung up on the first part. It brought back bad memories of the time I ate a corn dog just before riding the Gravitron. I guess I'll bookmark the rest of this for later.

It's hard to hold yourself back from eating all those delicious treats like fried dough, cotton candy, etc. before hopping on the rides.  Luckily no restraint is needed at the Carnival of Real Estate!

Interesting stories, it does seem to be an interesting topic today on which way is the market going now. One thing is certain, most people are late to the party.

Just an FYI, there is a Carnival of Real Estate every week. (Hence the "#89" thing). It just happened to be hosted here this week.

There is a WHOLE LOT that goes on outside AR.  Maybe yall should get out of the Rain sometime!  :)

Gracious Rich...

Geesh...And all we got were stupid pictures of trophies that we're probably going to have to pay for one day :)

It seems the trophies were swiped from Google Images :)

On a more serious note...Congrats to all those who entered and decided to try out that tilt a whirl :)

I'm sorry. It appears I am completely incapable of being serious right now. I did try though :)

Hackberry? Very funny Code Monkeys :)

TLW...ROAR!

Well, I loved the post. However, it's not as good as the Tilt A Whirl. I can't remember the name of my favorite. But it held you to the backboard by spinning and then it went vertical. I love that ride.

Rich,

I just got back from a vacation in Carni-land to find this post.

First, thanks for the mention.

Second... MORE AR bloggers should take advantage of the Carnival of Real Estate. ESPECIALLY now that they can brand a unique image to their blog.

Thanks for hosting the Carnival too.

Me

PS: I bet it must feel like your WHOLE life is a blog sometimes.
