Little Things Matter in Columbia SC Real Estate

How was that fish fry you had the other night?  Awww, what a cute kitty!  Let me guess, You have a toddler?

The above may all seem like very nice comments.  They are, if made to you by a neighbor.  BUT, in Columbia SC Real Estate, the little things do matter!

What turns off buyers?  Every little thing you can think of!  How do you stop that?  By eliminating the little things that buyers may complain about, or worse…keep quiet about.

I see a lot of homes for sale on the Columbia SC Real Estate Market.  While I might not notice every little thing wrong with a house, I do notice the majority of them…and I guarantee my buyers picked up on more than I did!

Odors:

Odors are a definate turn off to buyers buying Columbia SC Real Estate.  That fish fry you had the other evening.  Though I love fried fish (c’mon, I was born in Columbia SC!), I don’t want to smell it the next day.  Do you have cats? So do I.  I have 5…but I am not selling my house either?  Scoop those litter boxes daily, if not more.  Have a good filter in your HVAC (which you definitely need selling Columbia SC Real Estate).  Odors will turn off a buyer very quick.

Clutter:

Do you have kids?  I love kids!  But i don’t love their toys, clothing, trash, mess etc.  I don’t want my buyers to see this!  And they don’t either.  Family is the most important thing in my life, but please…put the Power Ranger underwear in their drawer, their tonka trunks and legos in the toybox.

You want your house to seem spacious, open, bright with natural sunlight.  Pull back those curtains, open those shades, paint your rooms a light, neutral color.  Clean your carpets, put those dishes in the dishwasher, and the milk back in the refrigerator.  All of this will help you sell your house faster and for more money.
