Create your own visual style...
let it be unique for yourself and yet identifiable for others.
--- Orson Welles
While walking through the streets of WhiteFish, a mountain resort town in Montana, I came upon this fence. Quirky or not, it gave me happiness and immediate pleasure. It's not your everyday fence. I consider it, extraordinary, not ordinary creativity, in other words, someone's very own visual style. From my perspective, creativity is an attitude, something that stops you in your tracks and gets you out of the mundane, everyday life experiences.
Someone had a vision. Their idea was unique and now identifiable to anyone who sees it in my photograph or goes there to admire themselves. Someone was gutsy and wasn't afraid to challenge themselves by creating a different type of style. We can identify it as a fence but again, not an ordinary fence. In person... I was seeing something extraordinary. I'm convinced, being creative is pure happiness, intended pleasure. Whatever is uniquely created and on display introduces the world to something distinctive and if you like it, pleasurable.
We have all seen different types of fences which prove to me there is always more than one right way to build a fence. The same is true in marketing yourself. It's all in the vision that begins with breaking the same old patterns to become identifiably you!
