Sandpoint Idaho Street Crews Racing Weather

I can not help but think that when plans were made for the street directional changes to be completed Sandpoint Idaho the inclement weather of the past 3 weeks was not on the schedule.

Down town Sandpoint City streets are being revised from one way to two-way traffic.  While that change brings its own challenges, IMO, when planning on implementing in November with winter weather soon to follow, if not already here, striping will be difficult to see.  That will only add to an already confusing situation.

While some work is being completed a moisture free day does not make street work always possible.  There is some work that just requires everything be dry. As with everything this change will be for the good when all is said and done.  So trusting the weather powers that be give the workers a break and allow all these open holes get finished prior to snow.

Quite Brilliant from your local government, I suspect it was one of your genius councilmen who came up with this idea and he or she does not drive this part of town:))Endre

Endre Barath, Jr. I really don't put it on their shoulders as being completely inept.  If they did this during summer and our major tourist - traffic period the businesses would shoot them.  Rock and a hard spot trying to get it done before weather and after Labor Day.  And being SC born and raised I can tell you that you have more traffic at 2:30am or so than we have on our busy days.    People complain of the lift lines up here when almost all of 5 minutes.  That happens once maybe twice a season.  None the less with a small tourist town street repairs are never going to go over well.  Did not ignore your invitation to call on Whitey.  Planning on doing so.  mark

I hope the weather dries out so the repairs can be completed. Good luck with the road changes.

Doesn't it seem to you, Mark Don McInnes, Sandpoint that this work might have been attacked at a better time of year when the weather was cooperating?

Hello Sandy Padula and Norm Padula, JD, GRI NMLS#1483386 .  See my reply to Endre.  I believe the lesser of two evils chosen and we have had an extremely wet fall.  No one complaining about that after the fires of two seasons ago.  Thank you for stopping by and commenting. Mark

I hope the competitors are careful on those slick roadways.  The amazing colors of the trees are pleasant on the eyes.
