Catalpa Farms is a long awaited new construction residential community in Louisville. This community sits on 200 acres of land in Jefferson County off of Old Clark Station Road near the county line. It will be one of the first housing communities of its kind in the area.

Louisville residential developer, Signature Green Properties, is the company behind the development of the community The community will have 566 new homes and cost around $250 million to complete. Homes will be arranged in small village type settings along ridges. Each village will consist of 10 to 30 homes and each village will have its own distinct features. The first forty homes are expected to be finished this November. The entire community is expected to take around eight years to complete. Utilities have already been installed and the land is ready to build homes.
Homes will vary in architectural styles. Some styles planned for the community include arts and crafts and Victorian. Homes for sale will be priced in the mid to high $300,000s to the $500,000s. All lots have been marked and a map of home sites is available. Home floor plans and elevation renditions will be available soon.
Community amenities for homeowners are expected to include access to Catalpa’s lakes, community center, frisbee golf course, playground, pool, clubhouse, dog park, community gardens placed throughout the community, nature trails, and 67 acres of preservation lands.
Catalpa Farms will have entrances on Clark Station Road near Taylorsville Road and Eastwood Fisherville, which will offer homeowners quick access to roads and quick easy commutes.
Homearama has chosen this community as one of the two sites for the 50th annual home show. The Homearama show is a decade's old tradition in Louisville hosted by the Building Industry Association of Greater Louisville. Next year’s Homearama will take place July 15-30, 2017. This is an annual showcase displaying the latest trends, technology, interior design, and custom-built features in homes. Homes ready to be on display for Homearama will be priced from $350,000 to $399,000.
