For Q1 earnings, we'll have 700 companies reporting, but only 57 are in the S&P 500. If you want a meaningful read on the economy, pay attention to AIG, Cisco, Fannie Mae, News Corp., and Walt Disney. Thursday, some big retail chains will release monthly same-store sales, yet another take on the consumer's mindset.
