Loyola Beach Dunes Chicago Photo Walking

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker 475.140531

Today was a wonderful Fall day. A great time for a walk South along the Lake Michigan lakefront. This led us to one of the largest parks and beaches in Chicago the Chicago Park district Loyola Beach Dunes. A very impressive place. I highly recommend anyone to check out if you get the chance.

A combination of dunes with pretty vegetation and grass, birds, water and a blues sky. There are few words I can say that will do justice so I will share a few of the photos taken.

Please excuse me, it is almost time to watch the Chicago Cubs play the LA Dodgers in what we hope will be the final game of the National league series.

Beautiful photos, Noah. I did not know about this place, but would love to take a walk through those dunes and enjoy the scenery first-hand.

Great views!  I know you are pleased with how the game went, Go Cubs!  A lot of people in my area cheer for the Cubs, as we didn't always have a team of our own and the Cubs have always done their spring training in Mesa.

While it might look pretty,  and it does, I prefer to walk on grass and leave the sand traps, I mean dunes for someone else

Noah, SOOOO excited for the World Series!! I listened to a great historical perspective on the 1908 Cubs' win and what was going on in baseball at that time. You have to be beside yourself with excitement. I recall that general seating in 1908 was $1.50, alot at that time, when even the cost of milk at the time which was a higher-priced item was 35 cents. They said that people averaged about $400 a month in that time. Amazing, huh?

Well, my sister lives in Cleveland--has forever it seems--so I may have to root for them even tho it's ONLY been 68 years since THEY won.

Believe it or not I actually lived in Rogers Park about 4 blocks west from the beach on Paulina Ave near Touchy. That was not the best part in terms of crimes I moved to Berwyn in 1974 in the midest of gas rationing crisis (oil embargo).  Gas went up to 34 cents.
