What is Esperanza in Boerne?

Esperanza is a new community in Boerne TX. Esperanza was originally planned to open in 2008-09. You may recall there was lots of financial turbulence during those years. I have no direct knowledge of what happened, but the community was not developed, and some suffered financial losses as a result of the lack of progress.

But that is behind us now. Noticeable activity for Esperanza began in early 2015. Esperanza is a master planned community. Within Esperanza, the neighborhoods are being developed on a village concept. Homes within each village will be similar, not in a tract-home type design, but in terms of lot size and price range.

Where is Esperanza?

Texas Highway 46, or River Road and Esperanza Boulevard intersection is the entrance to Esperanza. Esperanza Boulevard runs roughly north/south through the community. The villages, or communities within Experanza are situated on the east and west side of Esperanza Boulevard in Phase One of the development.

Who Builds Homes in Esperanza?

In Phase One of the development five Builders are authorized to build in Experanza. The Builders are:

• Mike Holloway Custom Homes
• Monticello Homes
• Sitterle Homes
• Scott Felder Homes

Esperanza Community in Boerne

The first closing in Esperanza occured earlier this year. Phase One of the community is planned for around one hundred seventy (170) homes. At completion the development should have a bit over 1,275 homes.

Boerne ISD is the public school provider for Esperanza. Bonds have been approved for an elementary school to be built within the community. A rendering for the proposed school was revealed at the October 2016 school board meeting. The school, currently designated Elementary #7, is scheduled to open in the summer of 2019. A name for the school will be determined before the school opens in 2019.
