Wow!! - Such a great response, I added more.

I also wanted to add how I work with clients.  Whether I'm working with a residential client or w/a Builder - My design philosophy remains the same:

Understanding how to get the right mix - when to spend it and when not to.

The trick is getting that perfect balance of the wonderful pieces that will last you a lifetime and the "oh my gosh" triple red sticker find. I call it the mix of "Rich and Poor."  Like I said - It's like wearing the Chanel Suit with Cubic Zirconium stud earrings...

For Example: Gettin' the Mix

Hi Julia,

Some yes, others no.  Acres of trim is expensive, premium, to-the-trade fabrics /hardware, and a well heeled fabricator and installer.  The trick is to get the mix - Dress it to the nines and spend-it in some areas - and be clever in others.  It's just like wearing cubic zirconna with a Chanel suit.

Windows are definitely your strength! I really think you used great treatments and appropriately so. The fringe could have only been for a high-end home. I once did a $850,000 house with 18' ceilings and the windows took reams of fabric, fringe and tassels, but nothing else would have done them justice.

Wow, what great window treatments.  You are so creative.  I haven't hung any treatments yet if there weren't any to begin with, but I really think it is the icing on the cake in a room.  It just completes the look and makes it feel more cozy.  Great job.

Julea,

These are all fantastic treatments, and the fact that they were simple to make is even better!  They may not have the price tag of custom draperies, but you achieved the same look and I am sure you saved your client a ton of money.  Great job, and thanks for sharing the details!

I don't always think window treatments but these rooms would not be finished without them.  They are the frosting on the cake...beautifully done.
