This blog is my entry into the Active Rain and Top Producer challenge/contest: How do you identify opportunities from within your sphere? They ask us to write a blog about: What is your BEST tactic for determining if a member of your sphere (or a CRM contact) is getting ready to transact?
A little background is that I have been in Real Estate for 30 years. In 1985 at the age of 18, I joined this Industry and have been going strong every since. One of my marketing goals back then, was to let everyone know that I was in Real Estate. 30 years later, one of the toughest jobs of my marketing, is reminding my sphere that I am still in Real Estate, that I am here and that I can help.
Every one seemingly knows someone in in Real Estate. Many consumers think everyone in Real Estate is the same. Most only find out this is not true the hard way, by hiring a non effective agent.
THEREFORE my goal is to show consumers there is a difference. I like to show what I can do, how i stand out and how I can make a difference. Some agents rely solely on technology that takes the personal support out of the real estate process.
I put the personal and professional service back into buying or selling a home. I use a variety of technology and media, including my Active Rain Blog and Social Media to market myself and what I can do. I also use face to face marketing. Most of those I see on a daily basis, I love sharing how the market is. What is going on or various other subjects to open the door to who may be ready to buy or sell a home.
The majority of my new business comes from old business. Basically a mix of repeat business from those who i have sold their homes for or sold homes to. They come back when it is time to buy or sell again. Most often, I also get a tremendous amount of referrals from those I have worked with before. Family, friends and co-workers.
My plan is simple. to STRIVE TO PROVIDE THE BEST POSSIBLE SERVICE THROUGHOUT EACH STEP OF THE LISTING AND SELLING PROCESS! Through personal service I have made my own niche to stay with and soar above the national companies.
