In 1966 the Clark Public Library moved from a storefront in a strip mall to the building on Westfield Avenue where it now resides. The current building has changed having a major addition several years ago. But on Friday, November 18th the Library will formally celebrate 50 years in the same location.
The 21 and over only event runs from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Wine and cheese will be served. The event will be themed around 1966. There will be "groovy" music, a 50/50 and lots of interesting things from 1966 on display.
There will be flash cubes (you're dating yourself if you know what those are), typewriters, rotary phones and many other things on display that were high tech for the time but are now obsolete.
This is a great event to come out, see the library and have a great time. Admission is only $6!!!
The Clark Public Library has embraced the technology of today and offers lots of excellent materials for library members, both in person and online.
