Scary Movies at Koka Booth Amphitheater

The Scoop: From October 27 through 29, Koka Booth Amphitheatre is hosting a "A Reel-ly Scary Movie Series," a weekend-long movie extravaganza! Each movie is $10 and the schedule includes Young Frankenstein (1974, PG),Goosebumps (2015, PG) and The Conjuring 2 (2016, R).

Night Lantern Tours at Oakwood Cemetery

The Scoop: Brave enough to go into the cemetery after dark? Then you’re in luck, because Oakwood Cemetery is offering evening lantern walks through their historical headstones.
Where: Historic Oakwood Cemetery 701 Oakwood Ave Raleigh, NC 27601
When: Saturday, October 29th from 6:00 - 10:00 pm.
The Deets: Tickets are $4-$7 and free for children under 6. Tours run roughly every 15 minutes from 6:00 - 10:00 pm and last about an hour. After the tour, guests can enjoy refreshments at The House of Memory. Proceeds benefit preservation efforts at the Oakwood. For more information, visit the Oakwood’s website.

 

Hoppy Hour at The North Carolina Museum of Art
The Scoop: The giant rabbits (a 10-day exhibition by artist Amanda Parer) shed their glow on four funky gatherings, each featuring a different musical theme, with surprise guests, surprise events, a pop-up Museum Store, food trucks, and featured Fullsteam Brewery beers, wine, and nonalcoholic drinks for purchase.
