My Blog Was My Storefront!
Carol Williams "75% of my business came from my website and blogs. I did not "go out" looking for business. "
What a great business model!
Right on target - and - re-blog!
I had an ephiany last night! I was having a long overdue catch-up session with a friend. She owns a successful health food store in Wenatchee. She is very passionalate about health as I am about real estate. She said she loved selling within her store but she could never do what I did (before retirement) and go "out" and sell.
The proverbial light bulb came on. Honestly, it suddenly occurred to me that my blogs and website were my "storefront". I didn't go out and sell. People, literally, came to me. It was like they were walking into my "store" and wanted my help.
The last decade of my career in active sales was very different than the first 24, before blogging. 75% of my business came from my website and blogs. I did not "go out" looking for business. I just served them as they came to my "store". Of course, this was just the beginning of the relationship. When my blog and website started getting high search engine rankings (all organic) I had to hire 2 assistants to help me.
I can't stress enough how important it is to establish and constantly nurture your website and blog. It will change your life!
How well is your "storefront" working for you?"The best way to predict the future is to create it!" -Peter Drucker
