Today is National Cat Day: Happy Cat Day!
In our household, every day is National Cat Day. Those of you who follow our adventures know that we have, Jack, Jill & Wiley all three now indoor cats. Seems like their mission is to keep us working to a ripe old age to support the Vets in our community.
To give you a quick summary Jack knocked on our Patio Door in Marina Del Rey, CA and demanded to be let in. So, once he joined the house hold, Diane against my better judgement incorporated Jill a rescue from the Lange Foundation, that we support financially and Diane Volunteers there consistently. Then the latest addition Wiley was incorporated less than 35 days ago into our household. The house we built for him is still in the back yard.
Diane wanted to get rid of it and since I am a big procrastinator and due to the size and weight I put this project on the back burner. Ironically last couple weeks we noticed another cat scoping out our house….I told Diane the word on the street amongst cat nation must be that there is this house where the two people are not the brightest and we can hang out there….anyway I am digressing.
Halloween is right around the corner and this made me wonder/ponder and sadly there are too many cats roaming the streets all over the country as we speak. I understand we cannot save them all, but you can support your local rescue organizations who have a great deal of expenses, medical, food and caregiving. Donate whatever you can afford, every dollar helps. They are doing their best to save the animals one cat at a time.
If you do not want to go through the trouble of finding your local Rescue Organization and prefer to do something from your home via your Computer. There is an Organization called GreaterGood.org for your convenience here is the link and help indirectly through them
