"Strive for a life of progression, not perfection."
-Carol Williams
According to the famous physicist Stephen Hawking: "One of the basic rules of the universe is that nothing is perfect. Perfection doesn't exist".
In our quest to be good (even THE BEST) at what we do, we can never expect to achieve perfection. Perfection simply doesn't exist.
We must start from where we are on a daily basis and should expect to make constant progress. Do you have a constant desire to continue to learn and become better a better version of yourself every day?
Do you accept being less than making constant progress... to do better and to be a better you?
Good morning Will Hamm . Being the best we can be is the ultimate goal, isn't it?
I hear ya Nina Hollander . I'm a bit that way too... on the OCD side about certain things. Makes it difficult to delegate!

Carol... I managed large staffs in my corporate life, so I learned to delegate. But that didn't stop me from trying to make sure their work product wasn't as perfect as possible because it reflected on me.

Great post. Everyday is an opportunity to grow and learn. We just need to open our minds. Perfect is over-rated!!!

Hi Carol - it is true that no one is perfect. You can measure success by how far you have progressed.
Progress, not perfection! That's one of my favorite quotes. Nothing will ever be perfect, because as you said...there's no such thing! Just keep striving to move forward and to continually get better!
Hi Carol Williams - there is no arguement that as hiuman beings we are imperfect creatures but we should always continue to strive for what we consider perfection. This is the only way to continue to progress like you have stated. Have a great rest of the week.
We all strive for perfection especially when we are trying to help our clients. Try as we might we can look at times when we know we could have done better
Hi carol, sure we are imperfect but we do have will power God given gift and I think we should try and help everyone in a perfect manner.
My Nana would disagree with you. She always told me I was perfect. I miss her so much.
That said....yes, it's true that there is no such thing as perfection. However that doesn't stop me from trying make things better and improve anything I can.
Hi Nina Hollander , Corporate management would be very difficult, me thinks. I'm sure you were very good at it. I managed a small staff of about 10 people in my company... and I much prefer counting on myself to meet my expectations. LOL

Exactly Grant Schneider . It's all about progress... constant self-improvement. Thanks for stopping by.
You got it Donna Foerster ... "striving to move forward and to continually get better!" Have a great day!
Hi Sharon Tara . It's funny you say that about your Nana. My late husband used to tell me that too. We both knew I wasn't but it was very sweet! I guess we were "perfect" for them.

We all need someone in our life that thinks we are perfect!
Good morning Maya Garg . That's it! Using what God gave us as our unique gifts. It's all about honoring what we have been given by striving to be the best we can be. Thanks for stopping by.
Hi Carol... in the corporate world I had a limited number of direct reports, so it was easier to manage. Managing agents on a team was something I found I really didn't like doing.
