The ever popular Navy Pier off downtown Chicago is now 100 years old. There is so some interesting history behind the Pier. One thing is Chicago Fest which was really a wild festival.

I attended the first Chicago Fest and all the others seeing Muddy Waters and other great musical acts. There was a Blues, Jazz, Country and Rock. This ten minute video give you some really nostalgic views of the event.

Today the Chicago Navy Pier is a huge tourist attraction and has so much to offer. You can get so much interesting food, there are museums and drinking establishments with live entertainment.

Attached to the Pier is boats and ships that take you on a great tour of Chicago and in doing so they serve dinner. Many people come to the great time of Chicago and visit Navy Pier.

If you get to Chicago you will really enjoy Navy Pier

Noah when I was in Chicago 3 years ago my wife and I stopped by Navy Pier. There were a bunch of performs along the pier, and we enjoyed all the shops.

Thanks! I never got to experience the new Navy Pier but have found memories of what Geoffrey called the dump. Oddly enough, I never thought of it that way. I do remember Chicago Fest very well and I also guessed wrong. I was sure it was Mayor Burn. I met her on the Pier with my daughter and spouse when she was Mayor. These are great memories!
