So, if you didn't read part 1, click here to catch up. I've made my first round of follow up calls post the invitation mailings. From the 94 invitations I mailed, 41 have responded to date. My biggest fear was that no one would come but I also had an attendance goal of 24. 26 are coming so far. Yay !!! This is really getting exciting now. Of the 15 that said no, most were either going out of town that week for Thanksgiving or had family coming in.
Still waiting for 52 RSVP's. A few of those I was able to reach but they where not sure yet if they would be able to come. I was not able to reach the rest and for those, I left a message, following up in two days with a personal note reminder to RSVP if they don't respond to my call.
My final round of RSVP calls will be on Nov. 14th & 15th as Sam's Club require a weeks notice for large pie orders. Then as a final reminder, I will be mailing out a postcard reminder sayng something to the affect of Looking forward to see you at the pie giveaway on Tuesday.
I continue to work on the details of the event. Designed my own lables for the pie boxes using a software called Print Master and 2x4 Avery shipping labels. It's decorated with a Happy Thanksgiving theme and and includes my name and phone nomber along with a lender I'm co-hosting the event with. I also have created registration/raffle entry forms as well.
Still to be done: need a registration person, a photographer and decorations. Hope to have all those in place by next week. And in case you're wondering, still working real estate. Got a listing under contract this week, a new listing this week, a buyer closing and another listing next week.
My next post on this topic will be after my next round of calls on the 15th, when I expect to have a final head count and all plans nearly finalized. Stay tuned.....
