HOW DO YOU GET MORE HOME FOR THE MONEY?

I was walking back from a local store.  I had walked through the neighborhoods on the way there, so on the way back I decided to walk down the main street here in Naperville, Washington Street.

It's fairly busy at this part of town, cars traveling 40 or so miles per hour. 

There is a beautiful park on the other side of the street.  It's right along the DuPage River.  And beautiful mansions after that.

But on the west side, the side I was walking on, there is a fence and then my subdivision.

The houses that back to Washington Street would generally be considered "less desirable" because they back to a busy street. 

But that's half empty thinking.

How do you get more home for the money?

Sometimes you have to give up a little bit on location.

Whether you are in Naperville, Illinois or Austin, Texas you can save lots of money by choosing the right house in maybe a "not so right"  location.  I would guess 10 to 15%. 

Real money. 

And if space or neighborhood are your primary concerns...

Then get out there and check out some homes that may just lack a little bit, locale wise.

You might be surprised how much money you can save.
