This horrific event, not to mention others in Todd Kohlhepp's past proves that you truly do not know the evil that exists in some people in which you do business. Hey, he is even a member here in the Rain. This story is beyond chilling, I will warn you now!
Kala Brown and her boyfriend, Charlie Carver worked for Todd, cleaning homes. They had gone missing in August 2016, never to be heard from again until she was found recently, in a metal container chained up like a dog on one of his properties.
She witnessed Todd Kohlhepp shoot and kill Charlie, bury him and then was held captive. Thankfully, someone called in a sex crime tip and Kala was found alive. There are as many as four bodies reportedly buried on the property and it is reported that he has killed at least 7 people.
According to the article by NBC News, Todd kidnapped and raped a 14 year old girl by gunpoint when he was 15. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison. He was released and became a real estate broker in Moore, South Carolina, owning a real estate firm in Spartanburg County.
Kind of scary to know that someone can hide the pure evil that exists within, while outwardly acting like a good citizen. My prayers go out to the families and friends of the people he has terrified and killed. May they find peace and put their loved ones in their final resting place.
