LIGHT SELLS HOMES

OPEN UP FOR SALES!

Today I looked at  a home for sale and all of the curtains were closed.  I sure hope when the REALTOR shows the house they arrive before the perspective buyer and open everything up!  Spring is here!  At any time of the year, unless the view is poor, open the drapes.

If there are blinds and you wish to hide an outside view, tilt the blinds to allow maximum light but block the view.

Remember on the outside...keep shrubs trimmed below the windows.  Of course there are exceptions, but 99% of the time this is the best advise for homeowners selling.  Spring blooming shrubs are best trimmed after they have flowered.  Questions about foundation plantings?  A quick call to your local County Cooperative Extension should bring a quick answer.     Or find a Stager who is also a Master Gardener?

 Happy Spring!

Excellent point.  I always tell my sellers to open curtains or leave all the lights on for showings.  The small amount they save on the electric bill by not turning lights on, could cost much more in lost sale price.
