Last week Rachael declared that we were stressed, had been working too much, and needed to play hooky for a day. It just so happens that today is that day, and we couldn't have picked a better one! Rachael is familiar with Cavallo Point Spa and so--here we are, surrounded by natural beauty and man-made luxury and convenience.
Our morning began with a quick counter-commute exit from San Francisco, bringing us to our destination in a short 15 minutes. By 7:30 AM we were breathing and stretching in a yoga class held in the main Inn, feeling tension slipping away. We were just across the quad from these lovingly renovated residences, now part of the Inn.
Since there were only 3 participants, there was a lot of hands-on assistance from a great teacher. After enjoying a leisurely cup of coffee on the porch, slowly rocking in the chairs there, we wandered up to the wellness center and spa, where we had day passes.
My first order of business was to relax in the meditation pool for what seemed like hours (and might have been!) Watching the hawks soar overhead, looking up at the hills where I so often hike, basking in the sun and warm water, floating effortlessly in the warm pool -- all cares and worries were washing away.
After a bite of lunch in the adjoining tea shop, we're once more out by the meditation pool. This time we have our computers with us and are doing a bit (a wee bit!) of business planning and assessment.
Mostly, though, we're refreshing our spirits and bodies, ready to return to a busy work week tomorrow.
Playing hooky - just what a busy REALTOR needs to do to increase productivity.
