The Town of Castle Rock was founded in 1874, and since that time, quite a few people have realized the many advantages of living there. From the comfortable climate to the beauty of the surrounding natural environment, Castle Rock, Colorado has many highly desirable benefits. Although the process of developing Castle Rock into what it is today has taken many decades, the area has finally reached a point of ultimate appeal.

Today, the Town of Castle Rock is home to more than 55,000 people

With numerous commercial and residential construction projects currently underway, there’s little doubt that the permanent population of Castle Rock will continue to grow larger.

People attracted to Castle Rock are typically individuals and families who appreciate access to a top-rated public school district. They also realize the many opportunities to enjoy indoor and outdoor recreation facilities as well as the expansive shopping areas with many of the nation’s most popular stores.

With a dedication to smart growth and a commitment to consistently improving the area’s infrastructure, the Town of Castle Rock continues to provide new and improved comforts and conveniences.

Following are a few examples of the Town of Castle Rock’s recent advancements and resources:

The Promenade
In November, 2014, construction on the Town of Castle Rock’s Promenade broke ground. When the project is complete, it will encompass 166 acres and include shopping areas, restaurants, entertainment venues, and multi-family housing. Located between Interstate 25 and Highway 85, The Promenade will provide world-class benefits to residents and visitors alike.

The Miller Activity Complex
The development of fantastic indoor and outdoor recreation areas is a goal of the Town of Castle Rock. One of the most impressive and popular recreation areas is the Miller Activity Complex (MAC). The MAC is located in Phillip S. Miller Park (which is an impressive outdoor recreation area in and of itself) and has many amenities including: a large indoor swimming pool with lap lanes, batting cages, party rooms, meeting rooms, a trampoline play area, and much more.

North Meadows Extension
For quite some time, the threat of traffic congestion due to increased development in Castle Rock has been looming on the minds of residents and visitors. Accordingly, the Castle Rock Town Council approved plans more than three years ago to construct the North Meadows Extension. The construction of the extension is currently underway and is an excellent solution to traffic congestion that could have resulted from the area’s tremendous growth.

Douglas County School District
Many parents are concerned about the ranking of the public school district that their children will attend. Castle Rock residents benefit from living within the boundaries of the Douglas County School District, which has consistently been ranked as one of the top in Colorado.
