Anyone tired of gloom and doom?

I consider myself the ambassador of good Real Estate news. While the country is saying that Orlando has a high foreclosure rate, no one seems to notice that only a small percentage of these properties are homestead. I feel very optimistic about the future of Orlando and see that the statistics may show a drop from 2005-2007, but we are doing decent by 2002 standards. So who is to say? We all said in 2005 that the frenzied pace couldn't last and we were proven right. So now what? I am curious on how you feel

Same thing on this coast.  Its bad now but it was overheated before and eventually things have to calm down to bring them to the point where they should be.  I personally think we still have a ways to go while you may have already hit the bottom.  Good luck on the turn!!

I'm with YOU!  Sometimes I all feel that I am also the Ambassador of Good Real Estate News!  Hey, now there's a topic for my next newsletter!  Thank you very much!  If I can't be positive and promote real estate, my chosen career and the way I make a living, I shouldn't be in the business.  If I played into the doom and gloom and negativity out there, I'd be depressed,  Instead, I'm happy, doing business and promoting only GOOD NEWS!  You go Girl!!

I am with you sister! Panama City is rocking. I don't know where the national news is getting their numbers. i heard on talk radio yesterday that only a 1/2 of 1% of homes are in forclosure throughout the nation. They make it seam like sooo much more. Sure they are out there I know of a few. But it is people that are living beyond their means and investors that speculated on the market.

Going Great in the Cape Coral / Fort Myers Market for sure. Well priced homes are flying off the shelves. Keep it positive, 2008 is going to be a Banner year for those that work at it.

I could not agree more! That is what I do.... promote the positive. If you fall into the media trap of "gloom and doom" then you could miss an opportunity out there. The media should report what a great time it is to buy. I think their headlines are scaring people away from buying. In actuality homes are priced to sell, there are many homes to choose from, and there are low interest rates. Those in the industry know there will always be people selling homes, buying homes or needing a home loan. They are out there, and they will need our services.
