867 Forest Highlands, Flagstaff, Arizona 86001

Front of 867 Forest HighlandsLose yourself in this magnificent home, located on a cul-de-sac lot in the gated community of Forest Highlands. The 4,150 square-foot home is almost completely open, with rooms vicariously separated by function. The paneled wood ceiling complements the hickory wood floors, and blends well with the wilderness outside. The home has two large outdoor spaces, the front brick driveway and a backyard patio, both of which have plenty of space for playing or relaxing. You can also create a sanctuary with an outdoor dining set and flowers along the patio's border for an extra sweet scent. Raising them will be a snap, with a specially made yard watering system for the front and back.

Master Chefs and chefs-to-be alike will love the sprawling eat-in kitchen, which is full of luxury appliances like Dacor and Sub-Zero. It's a good kitchen to hold a family gathering or cocktail party, as it can comfortably hold a large group of people. You can serve your guests in the kitchen nook or invite them to eat in the dining area or at the breakfast bar. A spirited group conversation around the freestanding fireplace isn't out of the question, especially on a cool Northern Arizona night.

After the guests have gone home, your master suite beckons. Will you choose to reView from 867 Forest Highlands homead a book in bed or take a relaxing dip in the Jacuzzi tub? Or maybe lounging in front of the room's fireplace is more your style. And with a private exit, you can sneak out for a walk or some well-deserved time alone without alerting the whole house.

Accepting the in-laws, parents or children for extended visits won't be a problem with four bedrooms and a loft to put them in. The loft is good for younger guests, while older relatives will enjoy the partitioned area upstairs; here there is relative privacy and access to a private outside deck; they can recap their evenings under the darkened Northern Arizona sky. During the day, they will be able to watch the golfers on the 3rd fairway of the Meadows Golf course.

Golf isn't the only thing to see or do at Forest Highlands. You will enjoy belonging to this exclusive community, where the holidays like the 4th of July are celebrated with a parade and community barbecue. Of course, there are activities year-round to keep you busy. You can walk to the practice range if you're a golfer, or take your kids down to the stocked pond for a little fishing. Work off any large meals at the fitness center, basketball or volleyball courts. Or just visit with neighbors, many of whom are within shouting distance. Regardless of what you choose to do, you can rest easy knowing that at the end of the day, you'll be able to spread your wings in your magnificent space.

As a former resident of Flagstaff and a NAU alum, I know that Forest Highlands is a truly desirable community.  Your listing is a home with character set in a truly specatular location.  I wish I could smell the pine trees now!

What a great property, if only it could loose one zero on the end of the price, I would buy it and move to AZ, LOL maybe in my next life.
