Sometimes it is a simple or insignificant thing that seems to trigger an over reaction. Often it is a surprise to both to those who explode as well as those who observe it. There are things you can plan for and then there are the things that just happen without any thought in the moment. Breath, breath, breath. That is all you can do. Step back try and restart your filters and move on. Every once in awhile you experience a boiling point: it will pass.
A boiling point indicates a change, from fluid to gas, it then cools down and returns to a liquid, which flows down whatever it is in contact with. Sometimes that process allows toxic elements to be extracted so the fluid is purer. So even hitting a boiling point can be good.

I'm quite a calm person but I just experienced that about a week ago Sheila. It wasn't the ONE thing but a culmination of little things. I ended up having to be the one to take the high road and apologize. It's worth the peace.

OMG Sheila, I've experienced that boiling point. It's definitely a challenge to overcome regardless of which side of the pot you are standing on!

My family and friends think I'm one of the more easy going people they know. However, I have my moments!

I have to go into my quiet place when I get that way. I don't need to inflict my attitude on others until I get a semblance of control.

Good advice. There are many things in life that are going to happen in our lives that can be triggers for really bad, overblown reactions. Breath.
It will pass for sure.
I learned to switch my attention to something else and shut the stress out till I'm ready to face it( removing emotions). Hope, you are feeling better now.

It's usually after you have carried the stress of multiple things that this happens. We can all only take so much.
