Thankful For Affordable Heat

10-Day Thanksgiving Challenge: Day 2

One of the many benefits of living in Central Washington State is the very reasonable electric utility rates.

As winter approaches, and the furnace needs to be turned on, I am so thankful to know I won't be hit with huge heating bills.

People who move in from other areas are always very pleasantly surprised.

Let it snow. Let it snow. Let it snow!

Carol,  I wish I could say the same about affordable heat. It's not affordable here. Thankfully, I don't often need the heat as temps are mild compared to other parts of the Nation / World.

I am thankful for our warm home but our utility bills are very high in Maryland.

That must be nice.  Our utility bills are all over the place here depending on the outside temps.

Kathleen Daniels , Roy Kelley , Lottie Kendall , Belinda Spillman ... We are truly blessed with a 3 county area with, literally, the lowest power rates in the country.   For my 2300 square foot home, my power bill (all electricity in the home) varies from $23 - $75 per month throughout the year.

Good morning Carol. I lived in an adjoining town where the only heat was either electric or propane.  My bill in the winter was around 400.00 per month for propane, now with natural gas it has dropped to around 50.00 per month.  What a change a few miles make.

Good morning James Dray .  Wow... that's crazy.  Why would anyone want to live in the other town???   Have a great day!
