Am I the only one being affected by the shorter days and longer nights? I seem to be working at the oddest hours such as right now when it is 3:37 AM -- and I've been at it for a couple of hours. I had taken some photos for a listing and needed to get them up on the MLS. There is a caravan starting at 9 AM this morning.
And on Tuesday, I got up at 2 AM to get on the road to drive north (8 hours north) to beat the rush hour traffic through San Jose and San Francisco and meet a client in the afternoon.
The week before that, I would wake up at 4 AM and start studying the Continuing Education courses I needed so that I could renew my Hawaii Brokers license that expires at the end of the year. The real estate commission actually wants us to renew by November 30 just so we don't get jammed up at the last minute and possibly not be officially licensed. Studying during the daylight hours? Not an option, too much going on. For the first time in a long time I would go to sleep at 9 PM.
Clients, also, call me at the oddest hour and those I don't mind. However, I had one text me about 10:30 PM and, although I was still up, I didn't hear the 'ding' so didn't answer. Now I feel bad! Yes, I know, I shouldn't but there you are.
Will it settle down?
I don't think so because everyone is already talking about taking off for Thanksgiving and there is still so much that I want to get accomplished this week. Next week will probably be a dead loss. And after that it's a quick two weeks until Christmas.
Bought a one-way ticket to Hawaii to be with my grandkids over Christmas. This is a first! I just have no clue when I need to be back in California. But you know me, I will jump on that airplane and cross the Pacific at the drop of a hat.
The other reason I am going to Hawaii is because I have been nominated for the
Aloha Aina REALTOR(R) Awards Program 2016.
More on that in a separate blog!!
Yes, that's why I wear hats these days, so I can drop it!
