Black-Eyed Susans, Rudbeckia hirta, Kentlands Photowalk, Gaithersburg, Maryland

Residents of Kentlands, our home community within the City of Gaithersburg, Maryland, love flowers. You can photograph flowers on every block during the growing season and I like to take photowalks to enjoy the beauty provided by nature and the home owners. Those who follow my blogs have seen hundreds of flower photographs taken in Kentlands.

These Black-Eyed Susans were photographed in the accent garden in front of the Kentlands Clubhouse. This is the State Flower of Maryland.

This blog is being submitted in the ActiveRain Photography contest being sponsored this month by Dick Greenberg. The category is Real Estate, Exterior grounds.

Those are so pretty. A couple of years ago we had black eyed susans planted in my neighbohood. I loved taking photos of them. The landscapers have not planted them since.

Nice picture of those Black Eyed Susans, Roy!  Their Latin name is a little difficult to say!

Roy, I love daisies of all kinds, I think they are very happy flowers in the sunflower family, meant to spread joy...I believe, which is what I think you like to do with your photos!

We have a cold and windy Monday morning in Maryland. High winds since Saturday evening have caused a lot of damage to trees and roofs.

Have an outstanding Thanksgiving week.
