In case you do not know the story up until this point you can read about how our land got stolen not once but twice in Latvia.
Then you can read the news about these crooks who are lying and cheating to steal our land and how we are fighting them in a court in Latvia where judges are known to take bribes.
I then needed help from all you in the form of contacts and prayers. To no surprise you went above and beyond in helping me.
The judge granted us a new court date and that is set in the beginning of November right before our Active Rain party at NAR in Orlando which we will be dragging in with jet lag because we will be going to Latvia to appear before this judge to tell them of all the lies and deceitfulness of these impostors to my grandmother's will.
I am very excited because when I was younger and traveling the world I never got to go to Latvia because it was behind the Iron Curtain under an unwelcomed communist rule of the USSR. It is hard to believe that there are people alive today who know very little about this dark part of history. Latvians love Ronald Reagan. His famous words, "Gorbachev,Tear Down this wall!" sends chills down my spine whenever I listen to them. You can not truly appreciate your freedom of this awesome capitalist society we are privileged to live in until you have witnessed this tyranny called communism.
My brother was in Berlin when the Berlin wall came down. He brought back a piece of the wall to me. I lived in Berlin for 4 years and my father did Naval Intelligence there. We saw the guards behind the wall marching back and forth with their rifles. he vast contrast between East and West Berlin with only a wall standing in the way made a huge impression on me as a child. Somehow I knew that whatever was across that line was evil and to be shunned.
When the wall came down the first country to attain and declare their independence was Latvia. Our family and relatives were so excited. I was sad on one hand because my mother wanted to live to see that day and her life was taken at an age almost a decade younger than I am today by someone who did not want her to live. Here is my tribute to my mother.
Latvia is 8 hours ahead of us on the East Coast. I will have to learn to exchange US dollars for the Latvian Lat, learn to plug in those special adapters and make sure our cell phones work over there along with getting international rates for the time we are there. The last time I was in Europe was over 40 years ago.
Now begins the gathering of many documents to prove our case and that we are the heirs to my grandmother's land. All of these documents, every single one of them has to be apostilled in the state in which the original is attained. We need birth certificates for all of my siblings. Two of my siblings were born in Norfolk, Virginia. I was born in California and one of my brothers was born in Berlin Germany. That is a lot of document gathering just for that part. Then my Grandmother lived in Tacoma and died in Oregon so there are additional documents such as death certificates and so forth. Oh, my mother was killed in California so I will need to get her death certificate apostilled in LA or Sacramento.
If any of you are close to any of these state capitals and if I send you the documents and the fee; you could get them apostilled for me, please let me know.
States where I need help: California, Virginia, Oregon and Washington. And then Germany. I believe I have a contact in Germany who can help me there.
