Photos Not Only Sell Homes, Photos Sell Real Estate Professionals

By
Home Stager with Sharon Tara Transformations

As a Home Staging Professional, photos are my selling weapon of choice. Visual marketing is so important in any business, but even more so in the real estate business.

A home staging transformation results in much better mls photos. Great photos online mean more showings.  Visual and emotional appeal within the home leads to buyers making offers.

Great photos sell homes, but they also sell real estate professionals.

Home stagers don't just use photos to promote listings. We also use our photos to promote our business. Just as real estate agents use mls photos to sell their listings, stagers use photos to sell our services.

Before and After photos are used to educate sellers on the value of staging. They are also used to help agents understand the benefits of staging and how it can create an advantage for their listings.

Real estate professionals use many forms of marketing materials, but the most effective are the ones with photos. People really don't want to read a lot of text....they respond better to interesting and appealing visual content.

Here is a marketing piece I created, inexpensively, on VistaPrint...

The front of this 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 postcard is in color, using pictures of my work.

The back of the postcard is black and white and simply states the benefits of consulting with a home stager.

I've included my phone number and my website on both sides.

I use it in place of my business card when meeting with a new agent and I give them to agents to include in their listing package when they want to suggest staging to a seller.

Hi Sharon

It's so true that photos make such a different and capture the attention far more readily than text. You did a great job on these and there's no question about what you do and how well you do it, and it catpures your attention immediately. Something for some agents with lousy photos on the MLS to keep in mind.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Jeff

Thank you.

I really meant it.

I've been photographing real estate for more than 10 years now.  You get it!

Sadly many agents do not.

Michael Yearout  I'm not an agent, I'm a stager. That's why I get it. LOL

There are parts of the country where staging and professional photography are the norm but here in New England, not so much. It's very difficult getting agents on board.

I talked with a photographer the other day who told me he is out straight with real estate photography work. That was awesome news...maybe things are finally changing!

Mary Hutchison, SRES, ABR  It's actually not a business card, it's  5x8.  But I hand it out sometimes instead of a card or in addition to one.

Sharon - it's hard to understand why ALL agents don't recognize the value of both staging and good photos. With more than 90% of buyers searching on line, it's a complete no-brainer!

And yet... we see agents who won't take the time or spend the money. It's their loss - theirs and their clients'.

Meanwhile... thanks for inspiration for my Thursday newsletter!

Hi Sharon, I'm so happy Gabe Sanders reblogged this post, as I missed it when you posted initially. I'm a huge believer in professional photos. And here's also what I responded to Gabe: Yesterday I was speaking with a client who is in contract and has two homes I'll be selling for her this coming year... she told me the primary reason she decided to work with me after coming onto my website is because of my personal picture--that my picture told her I had attitude and would do what needed doing. So professional photos sell the agent in more ways than one.
