My Son & Daughter-In-Law
November 17, 2013
Top of Bell Rock Club!
My son Ricky, was a Bell Rock guide. He would take people to the top of Bell Rock. Many of these people were conquering their own fear of heights. Climbing rocks is involved and it is very dangerous if you are inexperienced at climbing.
This is how he met his future wife. It was out of a storybook. Samantha was visiting from Switzerland and was only going to be here a few more days before returning home.
She was here this same time of the year, late November, and there was little time to have a romance blossom. But the spark of love had already been ignited.
My son, who had never left home, decided to get a VISA and visit Samantha for three months in Switzerland to see if this was for real. It was!
The decision was made to start their new life in Sedona and not Switzerland. My son left this decision to his wife to be. After all she would have to dissolve her life, leave her family and start over.
They were married
one week after she
entered the USA on
a red rock shelf of
Courthouse Butte, below Bell Rock
with me and my
This was the most
special wedding ceremony I have ever attended. There was no Wedding
Drama or hassle, just love and committment.
To Be candid...I never thought my son would ever marry. So I am
extremely thankful that
Samantha, Ricky and Tristan are
part of my life!
Bell Rock is in the background. This shelf of Courthouse Butte is where the couple fell in love and wanted to be married. It was quite a hike with camera gear but well worth it!
