I have a lot to be thankful for. I have to say family tops the list. And to be over 50 and have both my parents makes me really lucky. I'm grateful for each day I have my mom and dad.
I'm grateful they are still married to each other. I'm grateful they taught me love, the value of hard work and took me to church.
I'm lucky enough that life worked out that I raised my family right here where I was born and get to see my parents often. Almost every Sunday we have lunch together and then a few other times a year.
The photo is from May 25, 2014. They celebrated 50 years of marriage that day. And I love that my mom still cooks and that my dad often carries my mom's purse around when they are out together. He still opens her car door every time too. They always and continue to set the bar high for their family.
